UK1 M18 ULTRASONIC SENSORS CONTROL THE STABILIZER EXTENSION IN HYDRAULIC CRANES

Datasensing UK1 Ultrasonic sensor is the right solution to control the #stabilizer extension in hydraulic cranes.

Cranes must have devices that warn the driver and prevent dangerous movement, as: overload and overcoming of overturning moment.
Stability control is done by a "load limiter” device that compare the degree of stabilizer unthreading with the crane load and, in case of danger, warns the operator or stop the crane.
Typically, the measure of how much the stabilizer is pulled out is done through a wire rotary encoder. 
The ultrasonic sensor is a technologically advanced alternative to the encoder and eliminates the risk of mechanical wear over time because constructively do not consider moving components and carries out the measurement without contact between the parts.
